Stolen wheelchairs recovered near Dalmeny

Twenty specialized sport wheelchairs stolen in July have been recovered following an investigation by members of Stolen Auto and Patrol.
On November 24, 2017, with the assistance of the RCMP, Saskatoon Police Stolen Auto Investigators executed a search warrant at a rural property near Dalmeny, SK, in regards to a stolen auto investigation. During the search warrant, twenty wheelchairs were located, along with wheelchair tires, basketballs, jerseys and nets.
Thirty-four sport-specific wheelchairs and other equipment had been reported stolen in July after the trailer they had been stored in was taken from a compound on Cynthia Street. The 20 recovered chairs are valued at $80,000.
Three stolen vehicles were also recovered during the search.
A 37-year-old man is charged with Possession of Stolen Property Over $5000 (x2).
A second male, also 37-years-old, is also facing a charge of Possession of Stolen Property Over $5000.
The investigation is continuing.
