UPDATED – Two injured in collision at Highways 5 and 41

The scene of the collision at the intersection of Highways 41 and 5 on Saskatoon’s eastern edge, which occurred at 3:30 p.m., October 10, 2017, has been cleared and regular traffic flow has resumed.

Two people were injured in a collision at Highway 41 and Highway 5 involving a minivan and semi on October 10

The minivan was found to have been traveling south-bound on Highway 41 before attempting to turn east onto Highway 5. The semi was traveling east on Highway 5 when it struck the minivan. The driver of the minivan, an 83-year-old man, was charged with Fail to Yield right of way. He and his passenger were transported to hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the semi, and lone occupant, were not injured.

The Saskatoon Fire Department was on scene to manage the diesel fuel leak from the semi.
